PRE-ORDER for the Rolleiflex 2.8A type 1

The first ever Rolleiflex 2.8 for 120 film format, the amazing Rolleiflex 2.8A with the T coated Zeiss-Opton Tessar 80/2.8 lens with 10 iris aperture blades.

For collectors: To find 2.8A in that condition is almost impossible nowadays as only 7870 cameras were made. The 2.8A was truly an unusual camera compared to the other Rolleiflexes. It used an odd bayonet size (bay II) with a top speed of 1/400 (old Compur-Rapid X shutter version). The 2.8A type 1 was originally delivered with a pre-war or wartime Zeiss Tessar with serial numbers between 230000 and 300000 (uncoated version). These lenses were subsequently found by the factory to need replacement, so all of the cameras were recalled and the taking lenses were replaced with Zeiss-Opton Tessar (West) or Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar (East).
This particular camera has the Zeiss-Opton Tessar 80/2.8 T with the serial number 536563 (due to the Hartmut Thiele catalogue the invoice for the 5000 lenses was placed by the Rollei at 26.04.1950 for the Zeiss factory!)

Please notice, the current condition is unique for the 2.8A but the final condition of the camera will be generally improved during the rebuild process what gives every rebuilt camera fresh new look and operating feeling.

Taking lens is in great shape for its age (will be additionally checked and cleaned during the rebuild).

New PRO ultra bright screen could be installed during the rebuild process for free on request, if not I will keep the original dim glass screen to keep authentical.

The camera will be completely rebuilt and re-adjusted

(The amount of work is greater the the usual overall "CLA", I check out the complete camera and take it fully apart, bring all the internal parts and adjustments back to the factory condition or even improve the factory settings, test all functions, clean, renew, re-lubricate, and readjust the whole camera), therefore all functions work accurately and even smoother than from the factory, the focus is adjusted to the film plane and also film tested on the special stand for excellent focus accuracy.
