PRE-ORDER
Rolleiflex 3.5F type 5 (White Face) with the late improved 6-elements Carl Zeiss Planar 75/3.5 lens, the last classical lens generation of the Planar 75 line with the great contrast and amazing sharpness, this particular lens pair is already pre-selected and picked out for this project, it has a maximum possible resolution for that type of lens.
It has a better resolution than the 2.8F´s 80/2.8 but also a wider view and more like "matter of fact" rendering.
For collectors/users: this 3.5F White Face is based on the original late type 4/5 shell, it means I completely rebuild the 3.5F White Face into another shell (camera body and change the standard 5 bladed aperture against 10 bladed version for a very smooth bokeh.
The special part of this project is that originally it was not possible to install the flat glass insert into the 3.5F Type 5 (White Face). Rollei had already removed this option after the Type 3 because of the complexity of the system and switched to the more conventional standard film back instead.
This technology was quite revolutionary and ahead of its time, and it has become even more useful in the era of film digitising, when you want to get the maximum possible quality out of the medium.
The flat glass insert is the best way to keep your film absolutely flat over the entire surface, almost like a digital sensor. You get a constant film position and flatness for every single shot, with no tolerances in the film channel. A similar technology existed for 220 film with the Vacuum Film Insert for the Contax 645, but with this 2.8F it becomes possible to use it with regular 120 film.
If you combine low grain film with a drum scanner or a Flextight, you can achieve truly incredible levels of detail not possible with other cameras.
Another important aspect is that you will be able to see where the flat glass ends on the negative. The edge is visible, especially at the top and bottom of the frame, so a slight crop is required, although you might actually like the visible border.
It is relatively easy to remove the flat glass insert to clean underneath if needed. In most cases small particles on the underside of the flat glass do not influence the image because the film sits on the other side of the plate. You can also remove the flat glass insert completely and use the camera in standard mode without it. For that the pressure plate of the back must be switched to the 6x6 mode.

The camera will be completely rebuilt and re-adjusted
(The amount of work is greater the the usual overall "CLA", I check out the complete camera and take it fully apart, bring all the internal parts and adjustments back to the factory condition or even improve the factory settings, test all functions, clean, renew, re-lubricate, and readjust the whole camera), therefore all functions work accurately and even smoother than from the factory, the focus is adjusted to the film plane and also film tested on the special stand for excellent focus accuracy.
