External condition:

Please note that the photos are unedited and show the camera exactly as it is. Its condition is truly remarkable for its age. You simply will not find cameras online in this technical and cosmetic condition, especially when it comes to the optics.

This level of quality is only possible because every camera is completely rebuilt. I select not only beautiful parts, but components that fit and work perfectly together to guarantee the best possible result.

This is what I have been doing every day for more than 15 years.

Lenses:

Both lenses are in excellent condition for their age.

As part of the restoration process, the viewing and taking lenses have been professionally cleaned. The taking lens has perfectly preserved coating and no visible cleaning marks, allowing you to expect the best possible optical performance from this classic lens.

Focusing screen:

A new PRO ULTRA Bright plain focusing screen has been installed, with no focusing aids or grid lines just a clean, unobstructed viewing image.

Light meter:

The light meter is fully functional, precisely adjusted and provides reliable readings.

Please note that this is a selenium meter with an approximately 30-degree measuring angle, not a modern point-and-shoot meter. Some practice, enough light and understanding of how it reads the scene are required to achieve consistently accurate results.

IMPORTANT

The camera has been completely rebuilt and readjusted.

This process involved significantly more work than a standard CLA.

The entire camera was carefully inspected and completely disassembled.

All internal components and adjustments were restored to factory specifications or improved using modern precision instruments.

Every part was tested, cleaned, renewed where necessary, lubricated and precisely adjusted. As a result, all controls operate accurately and smoothly. The focus was calibrated directly to the film plane and verified on a dedicated optical test bench to ensure excellent focusing accuracy.

MY REBUILD WORKFLOW AND PHILOSOPHY

Every camera rebuild is its own project.

I completely rebuild and re-adjust the camera from the ground up.

This work is on a totally different level than a typical CLA.

Having full control over the entire process takes significantly more time and a lot of attention to detail.

I fully strip the camera, inspect every part, and bring all internal components and adjustments back to factory specification or even better.

I clean, renew, re-lubricate, and re-adjust the entire camera, then test every function.

As a result, everything works with high precision and often feels even smoother than it did when new. Focus is calibrated exactly to the film plane, and the camera is film-tested on a dedicated stand to guarantee excellent focus accuracy.

USA CUSTOMERS

Due to new customs regulations effective September 1, 2025, UPS is currently the only carrier we can use to ship from Germany to the United States. The good news is that, based on our October 2025 shipments, total fees and duties have not exceeded about $150 for a used camera—even on items valued above €5,000 so no significant taxes or fees are expected.
