"PRO SUPER Bright" focusing screen


This exceptionally bright, high-contrast, and ultra-clear focusing screen features a super-fine matte center spot for precise focusing, combined with a 90-degree split-image and grid.


Designed with the 90-degree split-image, it delivers maximum possible resolution and boasts the finest Fresnel surface among all offered screens worldwide.


While its brightness matches that of the "PRO ULTRA Bright", its refined focusing aid design takes focus accuracy to the next level.


Brightness of the "PRO SUPER Bright" is on the same level than the "High-D" screen from Rollei or the Hasselblad "Acute Matte D".

SL66 - INSTALLATION

Taking out the frame holding the focusing screen

Raise the two locking springs at the sides.

Push the frame forwards and take out.


Changing the focusing screen

Press the two shiny retaining springs at the rear edge of the focusing screen one after the other against the frame, and at the same time pull the screen out of its guide.

Hold the screen only at its edge, without touching the patterned lower surface.

The matted (frosted) side of the inserted screen should face the mirror, while the Fresnel side should face your eyes.

Put the frame in so that it lies next to the nameplate

press down both the side bars and pull back until the locking springs engage

"PRO SUPER Bright" & "PRO ULTRA Bright"


  • The "PRO SUPER Bright" screen offers higher resolution than the "PRO ULTRA Bright" version. While the “focus pop-in” effect is less pronounced compared to the "PRO ULTRA Bright" because of the laser matted finishing, the overall image appears more pleasant and virtually grainless

  • The clear super fine matte spot of the "PRO SUPER Bright" in the center combined with a 90-degree split-image provides more focusing control.

  • The upper Fresnel surface of the "PRO SUPER Bright" is more refined, making it practically invisible to the naked eye, even under magnification with the original loupe but you will need time to get into that new feeling, if you prefer more structured image I would recommend "PRO ULTRA Bright"

  • Brightness of the "PRO SUPER Bright" is on the same level than the "High-D" screen from Rollei or the Hasselblad "Acute Matte D".

NEW / AS NEW / B-GRADE

All screens go through my personal, strict quality control — these are the exact screens I recommend and install in my own cameras. First, I check flatness and overall geometry: regardless of the surface condition, each screen shows excellent flatness and is a proper, fully compatible replacement for the original factory screen. During post-production inspection, I also assess the surface and classify all screens that pass the final check into exactly three categories. Any screens that do not meet my quality standards are rejected at the final inspection stage and are not offered at all.

These screens can be described as “like new”, most of my customers don´t see any difference between "new" and "as new". They deliver the same performance as a new screen, but may show minor production imperfections — for example, very slight edge haze outside the main focusing area, or subtle internal color unevenness from the pressing process. There are no significant mechanical defects, and in practice these small marks are usually not noticeable once the screen is installed.
Overall, think around 90% of “new condition” — at a great price.

"B-GRADE"

These screens are still in really good condition. They may have minor production marks such as faint streaks, small scratches, or light abrasion, but these are usually not too distracting once the screen is installed.
Overall, I’d rate them at about 60–70% of “new” condition — offered at a great price and are far far better than original screens.

I collect and dispatch orders once a week, so shipping usually takes place within 7 days of receiving your order. Each order is prepared individually, carefully inspected, and securely packaged — this process takes time and attention to detail.


Most small packages are shipped via trackable Premium Deutsche Post.

Delivery can take up to 3 weeks for some countries. Unfortunately, I have no control over shipping times, so I kindly ask for your patience.

Due to customs-related changes effective August 29, 2025, Deutsche Post no longer ships parcels to the USA, so I use UPS instead. Free delivery to the USA is available for orders over €260.
